How long will it take to setup my new account?

If we receive your information before 4 PM on a business day you account will be setup in a matter of a few hours. Orders received after that time will be setup the next business morning.

Can I register my new domain with Flex-Host?

Yes you can. Flex-Host is a Registration Service Provider. We are able to register .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .ws, and .us domain names. Click here to register your domain name.

How long does it take to get a domain working?

On average a new domain should be working in less than 24 hours, a domain that is moving to Flex-Host takes about 24 - 48 hours on average. If your domain is not working in 48 hours you should contact Flex-Host tech support for an update.

What is your spam or bulk e-mail policy?

Flex-Host's upstream providers have strict policies that prohibit all bulk e-mail/usenet posting. Any client found to be engaged in this activity will have his site removed from this network. PLEASE! Don't waste your money on bulk e-mail scams save your site and your money. Don't Send Spam!

How do you charge less for bandwidth?

Unlike many service providers Flex-Host did not enter into long term contracts with it's bandwidth providers back in 1999 and 2000 when the going rate for bandwidth was $900.00 per megabit. So while other providers are sill paying the high prices of yesterday and passing on to you, Flex-Host is passing on the low rates that we have received from our providers in this depressed telco market to you.

What if I go over my disk space or bandwidth allotment?

Flex-Host will contact you and let you know that you need to buy more space or upgrade. We will not charge you extra fees without first allowing you to correct the problem.

Do you support international domain names like .de .nu and .se?

Yes, you can host any domain name that you would like with Flex-Host.

Do you allow FTP access to my account or do I have to use an on-line editor?

Yes, we allow full FTP access to your site 24/7 Our control also has an on-line editor for those that aren't comfortable with FTP.

How many email accounts am I allowed?

Our basic service includes unlimited email addresses, unlimited email aliases / redirects and unlimited email autoresponders.

How do I set up my POP email account?

Add a new mail account in your email program and setup the following information in the appropriate fields.

Your name - The name that you would like displayed to people receiving your emails.
E-mail address - The address that you would like displayed to people receiving your emails.

Logon Information

User Name - yourname@yourdomain.com eg. sales@flex-host.com
Password - your password that was setup for the specific user - usually the same as your master password unless you specifically requested or set up a different password for this particular email account.

Server Information

Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - mail.yourdomain.com eg. mail.flex-host.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - mail.yourdomain.com eg. mail.flex-host.com

With some ISP's you may get a "relaying denied" message when you try to SEND mail. This can usually be solved by retrieving your mail before attempting to send new domain mail. This can be done manually or you can set your options in your email package to "Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail" This can be found in Advanced or More Settings under Outgoing Server.

How do I logon to my FTP account?

Set hostname/address to 216.12.219.52
Login as - yourusername@yourdomain.com eg sales@flex-host.com
Password - yourpassword - this is your master password that you received when your account was setup.

After you have connected to the server, navigate to the mainwebsite_html directory and open the directory.

*** Your files MUST go in the mainwebsite_html directory ***

If your files are not placed in this directory your web site WILL NOT WORK !!!
